Adult Confirmation & RCIA
If you are interested in exploring Catholic faith practice, we invite you to consider participating in the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) at St. Ignatius. Weekly RCIA sessions begin in September and continue throughout the year as adults prepare to be fully initiated in the church at the Easter Vigil. Since the RCIA process involves significant preparation, we encourage all those who are interested to contact our Faith Formation Coordinator to discuss the process.
The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) at St. Ignatius offers adults the opportunity to explore Catholic faith practice in a small group setting as they gradually connect with the greater community of St. Ignatius Parish.
Adults from many walks of life participate – adults who are new to faith practice, Christians who are baptized in another denomination, or baptized Catholics who have not received the Sacraments of Confirmation and Eucharist. The RCIA also provides an adapted process for welcoming youth and children (8 years and older) into the Catholic Church. Like their adult counterparts, youth also reflect on Scripture and explore Catholic faith practice with their family and peers. RCIA classes are held weekly and begin each year in September, culminating at the Easter Vigil when participants are invited to celebrate the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and Communion.
Congratulations Craig, Phillip, Anthony, and
Greg! Welcome to St. Ignatius and to the
Catholic Church! You are a blessing to this
parish and to the body of Christ!
Congratulations to those Baptized (Meghan and Amber) and to those Confirmed (Raz, Sonia, Naomi, and Stephen - not pictured) at the Easter Vigil 2021!
