St. Ignatius parish’s Transition Supper Project (TSP) is an all-volunteer team with members from both the church and school families. Various teams provide a home-cooked dinner the second Wednesday of each month to the Transition Supper Project, a community social service program serving a select population of men and women living in transitional housing in Portland. These men and women are actively engaged in a program to help them transition into jobs and housing. St. Ignatius has participated in this project for over 20 years.
Many opportunities to volunteer are available — shoppers, cooks, drivers, and servers. Individuals and families are encouraged to volunteer. Training and support of volunteers is provided. TSP meets once a year for prayer, reflection, and planning.
